Novel way to integrate segment 3D radiology images.
Many images nowadays, especially medical/radiology images, naturally reside in a 3D space. The interaction with the medical images with the image computing procedures, unfortunately are limited to 2D due to the physical property of the mouse.
Developed algorithm as well as entire hardware/ software system has been tested on tasks such as abdominal organ/brain tumor viewing and segmentation.3D image interaction and segmentation method is dynamically driven by audio and gesture combination. Spatially free-form motion and gesture and voice command are made possible with the Kinect sensor.
Current system are limited to 2D field of view, as compared to newly proposed technology.
