Highly Accelerated T2 Mapping with a Simple Dictionary

Quantitative tissue parametric map can characterize pathology and improve the accuracy of diagnosis. Background: Fast imaging has been studied in last a few decades and can be achieved by fast acquisition sequence. A crucial step inhibiting parametric map is fast imaging techniqueT1 and T2 are fundamental parameters in MRI. These parameters indicate the relaxation time of water spin, which are indicators of the microstructure of body tissue and disease. Technology Overview: Proposed method has advantages of compressed sensing and finger printing, and is also compatible with parallel imaging. Much faster and robust T2 mapping reconstruction algorithm on MRI scanner, promoting quantitative parametric map in clinic and accuracy of diagnosis, such as stroke. High acceleration factors and low computational complexity were noticied. Advantages: Quantitative parameter map provides an efficient and reliable way to discriminate mimicked pathology and it could largely improve the reproducibility of diagnosis. Applications: Intellectual Property Summary: US Provisional Filed Stage of Development: The idea was approved on a numerical phantom and ex-vivo brain phantom.
