Developement of a material and process for printing a continuous conductive structure comprised of catalytic silver nanoparticles Background: Silver (Ag) catalysts in the form of nanoparticles, are ideal for promoting reactions relevant to energy, environmental and health applications. Technology Overview: Printing structure capable of operating in both a deoxygenated and oxygenated alkaline solution for multiple reduction/oxidation cycle while maintaining structural integrity and stability. Advantages: Printable catalysts will enable new and efficient manufacturing methods for fuel cells and batteries, developing structures with anti-microbial properties, sensors and electronics. Applications: Printing catalysts in manufacturing will increase abilities of new and better designs of items such as flexible OLED to circuit board application in Aerospace or Fuel cell designs.
