POLYSIS: A Program To Support the Thermodynamic Chemical Analysis of Materials Using Gas Chromatography
Inverse gas chromatography (IGC) is a common analytical technique used in industry to characterize and identify chemical compounds by measuring their thermodynamic properties. While the IGC methodology is cheap, fast and accurate, interpreting the data can be time-consuming and prone to errors. To address this problem, Dr. Zeki Al-Saigh and Dr. Sheldon Tetewsky have developed POLYSIS, a software application that simplifies material characterization by automating the analysis of IGC data. This software has the capability to calculate important parameters based on the physio-chemical properties of the material. POLYSIS will improve the product synthesis industry by expediting the material characterization process.
